Visit us this summer at Portland's East End Beach!
Portland Paddle offers sea kayak rentals, guided trips and lessons at the East End Beach on Portland’s waterfront. Our goal is to make it easy and affordable for Portland residents and visitors to experience kayaking and stand up paddleboarding on Casco Bay. Portland Paddle will be opening in June 2013, but feel free to contact us anytime to make reservations or to ask questions about the services we offer.
**Kayak & SUP Rentals**
Portland Paddle’s rental fleet is made up of kayaks and stand-up paddleboards for every skill level and body type. Our staff at the East End beach will set you up with all the gear you need and provide tips on where to paddle and how to stay safe. Reservations are optional but recommended.
We deliver too! We will drop off kayaks anywhere within 15 miles of Portland if you rent a boat for at least a full day.
**Tours**
Our tours provide a chance to safely explore some of the most interesting and beautiful kayaking destinations in Casco Bay. You’ll be accompanied by an experienced Maine Guide with a wealth of knowledge about the sport of sea kayaking and the rich culture and natural history of the area. Our guided trips are for everyone–from complete beginners to expert kayakers who’d like to become more familiar with the Bay.
**Lessons**
We offer classes for all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced paddlers looking to master a roll or learn to surf. All courses are taught by American Canoe Association-certified instructors who are also Registered Maine Guides.
In order to rent a sea kayak and paddle beyond the coastline, you must be familiar with the rescue skills taught in our rescue clinic.
